2016 Michigan House Austin

Day 1          Day 2          Day 3          Day 4

Monday- Opening Day

Video: Gorilla

Starting with a gallery tour at Prizer Gallery where we were able to view the work of Alex Alsup, Detroit Designer and Chief Product Officer at LOVELAND Technologies and Principal at GooBing Detroit. Walking back to the Michigan House, we were involved in a conversation with Sarah Urist Green, host of the PBS Program, The Art Assignment. She invited many of her friends from PBS including Mike Rugnetta from the Idea Channel and Joe Hanson from It’s Okay to Be Smart. Afterwards, our friends over at the Michigan Film and Digital Media Office kicked off the festivities with Michigan’s own L. Mawby bubbly and beats provided by DJ Erno from Detroit’s Movement Festival and The Outer Vibe. For our last event of the day, we ventured out to Stay Gold, a local bar where we gathered for some Founders Beer and closing out our opening day with some jams from The Accidentals, Dana Falconberry, Mal Blum, & Jesse Ray & Carolina Catfish.
