Arts Journalism Producer/Videographer at Artrain

Deadline: Ongoing

Artrain is seeking video journalists/editors for Creative Voice, a social media-based arts journalism source that covers arts and cultural activities in Southeast Michigan. Creative Voice teams of a producer/interviewer and a video journalist/editor identify events for possible coverage, determine assignments and schedules and make arrangements with site staff to gain access for coverage. Using Artrain’s proprietary iPad-based Creative Voice app and equipment, the teams solicit, prompt and record commentary by event organizers, artists and attendees and capture b-roll and audio to fill out the story. They perform publicity work – posting the videos to websites and social media and creating and sending promotional emails after each event – to help spread the word about local arts and culture, within 24 hours of an event’s coverage.
